What are some of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?
Every project is unique and special to us in different ways. The most personal is our own home – Happy Valley Residence as we were our own client and were able to experiment and design everything in it. We are also finishing the 2nd floor of Colourliving’s showroom in Wanchai- it’s a unique spin on the conventional shopping experience for home products, consisting of 7 bathroom settings of various styles. In February, we’ll be launching a furniture line with Danish brand New Works at the Stockholm Furniture Fair.

How would you describe your aesthetic/style?
Breaking minimalism. Due to our architectural background, many of our designs are simple and honest in form. However, we experiment with texture, colors, and details as a fresh spin on the overdone minimalist style. Our objective is to create tasteful multi-use pieces suited for today’s transient lifestyle.

We wouldn’t necessarily say that we have one distinct style. We like to be experimental and try different approaches with every project. That being said, when we look back at the work that we’ve done so far, there is a consistency through it all even though stylistic they might be quite different. We think what ties the projects together is the thought process and our approach to design that is quite evident from one to another.

What are your favorite areas in Hong Kong?
We love walking around the Sai Ying Pun and Sham Shui Po areas.

Where are you finding inspiration these days?
Streetscapes, travels, design fairs- we find inspiration everywhere!
