Who is Ben/Charlie & Rose?

Charlie & Rose is a Hong Kong based design firm set up by me, Ben McCarthy. I started my career in Australia but have worked in many location including the UK, Europe, China and South East Asia. We have completed around 60 projects since starting the business 6 years ago.

What are some of your favourite projects you’ve worked on so far?

Mr & Mrs Fox, Stockton, Stone Nullah Tavern, Limewood & The Winery.

How would you describe aesthetic/style?

Nostalgic.

Where are you finding inspiration these days?

Mostly from travelling. I don’t think you can do this job without constantly searching for new ideas and how other people live and do things.

What is your favourite area in Hong Kong?

Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung.

What would be the perfect collaboration for Latitude 22N?

We are really excited about the new co-living concept we are designing for District15. We have been wanting to do something like this for a long time.
